Tim Wakefield goes for his 200th career win - again vs Toronto. One week ago (07/Sept/2011) the Jays' scored 5 in the 8th and the knuckler received a no-decision.

Falling 10-11,the Bostons' almost made up the deficit with a rally in the 9th. After Boston had plated 2 the game suddenly ended on PR Mike Aviles CS 2-6 - with power hitting Josh Reddick at the plate and the team on one of their tap, tap - whack - hit around rolls.

Boston has been playing loosing baseball all this month - they have yet to win a series in September. Perhaps the way to look at it for Boston fans is that, the dog days of August have come late - but should dissipate by mid-month resulting in a surge to the post season (which is how teams win the whole enchilada, especially with the 5 game Division Series, loose two and a good team can get toasted).

A team needs to be hot going into the post season - I wish the Bostons the best of luck and hope they win the next series they play, after this one.

Next up for Boston is Tampa again, this time for 4. Another sweep by the Joe Maddon Team could sink this trawler.
